Job Description
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for industrial control systems in oil and gas projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver turnkey EPC projects from conceptual design through commissioning.
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and other automation platforms.
- Conduct site assessments and support installation, testing, and commissioning of automation and safety systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications throughout all project phases.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users and maintenance teams.
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, and progress reporting to ensure timely delivery.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and recommend innovative automation solutions.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of hardware, software, and instrumentation for control systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in automation engineering, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting PLCs, SCADA, and DCS systems.
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems, instrumentation, and safety systems.
- Experience with turnkey EPC project execution from design to commissioning.
- Familiarity with international standards and safety regulations (e.g., IEC, ISA, NFPA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
