The Payable
Accountant will be responsible for ensuring that all company’s transactions, invoices and employees expenses are properly documented, recorded and approved.
Main Responsibilities:
1.Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
2.Process three way P.O. matching invoices.
3.Respond to all vendor inquiries.
4.Review employees expenses for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment and ensure they comply with company policy.
5.Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies if any.
6.Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
7.Record fixed assets additions or disposals in fixed asset module and ensure employees are signing related accountability forms.
8.Take responsibility for Fixed Assets physical count process and related reconciliation with the book balances.
9.Drive efficiencies in line with company values
10.Support in the preparation of filing and remittance of various tax returns.
11.Recording properly and accurately the various G.L transactions.
12.Perform any other job-related duties required by the manager.
13.Assist with other projects as needed.
Main Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor of Commerce
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting role with exposure to accounting system
- CMA holder or in progress is an asset
