Key Responsibilities

1. Supervision of Cleaning Staff

  • Supervise daily deployment of janitors as per approved cleaning plans and manpower schedules.
  • Ensure janitors are present at assigned locations, on time, and performing their designated tasks.
  • Verify staff appearance, PPE usage, and readiness for duty.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and spot checks across assigned zones.


2. Compliance with Cleaning Plan & Procedures

  • Ensure strict adherence to approved cleaning methods, frequencies, and task lists.
  • Verify correct use of cleaning tools, machinery, and chemicals.
  • Prevent unauthorized practices or deviation from approved procedures.


3. Monitoring, Checklists & Reporting

  • Complete daily cleaning supervision checklists covering:
  • Staff attendance and positioning
  • Task completion and quality
  • Cleanliness levels in assigned areas
  • Equipment and chemical usage
  • Record and report any deviation, underperformance, or fault to the Soft Services Operations Manager.
  • Maintain daily logs and shift handover notes.


4. Safety & Sustainability Compliance

  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with site Health & Safety requirements.
  • Verify safe handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Ensure janitors use appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Enforce sustainability practices, including:
  • Waste segregation
  • Responsible chemical usage
  • Water and energy conservation


5. Waste & Debris Management

  • Ensure debris and garbage are collected promptly and disposed of in designated waste areas only.
  • Monitor waste collection schedules and prevent overflow or accumulation.
  • Coordinate with waste management teams to ensure timely removal.


6. Incident & Issue Escalation

  • Report safety hazards, environmental risks, or operational issues immediately.
  • Assist in investigating cleaning-related incidents or complaints.
  • Support corrective actions and re-cleaning as required.
