Job Purpose:

To deliver high-quality group and individual training sessions, supporting members in achieving their fitness goals through safe, effective, and engaging coaching. The Coach is responsible for the day-to-day training of gym members under the guidance of senior coaching staff, while ensuring consistency, professionalism, and an excellent member experience.

What do we expect from you:Key Responsibilities:

Group and Individual Coaching:

  • Deliver group fitness classes (Boot Camps, Circuits, HIIT, etc.) and one-to-one personal training sessions for members of all fitness levels.
  • Ensure all exercises are performed safely and effectively by providing clear instructions, demonstrations, and corrective feedback.
  • Modify exercises to accommodate different abilities, injuries, or fitness levels.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members through motivation, encouragement, and professional guidance.
  • Monitor client progress, track performance, and adjust training approaches based on feedback and results.
  • Support member engagement and retention through positive interactions and consistent follow-up.

Program Implementation:

  • Deliver training programs designed by senior coaches or the Head Coach with consistency and high quality.
  • Ensure training sessions align with the gym’s standards, methodology, and coaching philosophy.

Operational Duties:

  • Assist with the setup, organization, and basic maintenance of gym equipment before and after sessions.
  • Ensure the training area is clean, safe, and well-prepared for members.
  • Report any equipment issues, hazards, or safety concerns to the Gym Manager or Head Coach promptly.

Health and Safety:

  • Strictly adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Ensure member safety during all training sessions and respond appropriately to any incidents or emergencies.

Reporting:

  • Client progress and engagement updates.
  • Equipment or facility-related issues and safety concerns.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Continuously enhance coaching skills by attending workshops, training sessions, and obtaining relevant certifications.
  • Stay up to date with fitness trends, training methodologies, and best practices.
  • Actively seek feedback from senior coaches and the Head Coach to improve coaching performance and client interactions.

What do you need to perform your role:Education and Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field is preferred.
  • Recognized fitness certification (Personal Trainer / Group Fitness Instructor).
  • 1–2+ years of experience in a gym or fitness coaching environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of exercise techniques, programming, and injury prevention.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage clients with different fitness levels and goals.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • High level of professionalism, energy, and attention to safety.
