Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior CMS Manager with strong expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to lead end-to-end digital content operations across enterprise websites and digital platforms. This role combines hands-on AEM authoring experience with operational leadership, governance, publishing management, stakeholder coordination, and team mentorship.
The ideal candidate will oversee multi-site and multilingual content delivery, define authoring standards and workflows, manage publishing operations, and ensure high-quality, accessible, and SEO-optimized digital experiences. The Senior CMS Manager will serve as the primary liaison between content, marketing, design, development, QA, and product teams.
Role Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day content operations across AEM-managed websites and digital platforms.
- Plan, prioritize, and oversee content publishing activities across multiple markets, brands, and languages.
- Manage content delivery timelines and coordinate publishing schedules with cross-functional teams.
Authoring Standards & Governance
- Define and maintain authoring standards, content governance processes, and editorial workflows.
- Establish best practices for:
- Component usage
- Template structure
- Content consistency
- Metadata standards
- Publishing approvals
- Version control
- Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and content quality standards.
Hands-On AEM Authoring
- Create, edit, manage, and publish content using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites.
- Configure and manage:
- Pages
- Components
- Editable Templates
- Content Fragments
- Experience Fragments
- Content Policies
- Support business users and content teams with authoring guidance and troubleshooting.
Multi-Site & Multilingual Management
- Manage multi-site content operations using AEM Multi Site Manager (MSM).
- Oversee:
- Live Copies
- Language Copies
- Rollouts
- Inheritance Management
- Coordinate localization and translation workflows across regional and multilingual sites, including RTL content support.
Digital Asset Management (DAM)
- Manage digital assets within AEM Assets (DAM).
- Oversee:
- Asset uploads
- Metadata tagging
- Folder structures
- Renditions
- Asset governance
- Ensure asset consistency, organization, and optimization across digital channels.
Workflow & Publishing Management
- Manage AEM workflows for:
- Content review
- Approval processes
- Scheduling
- Replication
- Publishing
- Coordinate release cycles with development, QA, and business stakeholders.
- Monitor publishing health and resolve replication or rendering issues.
Quality Assurance & UAT
- Lead content quality assurance before go-live.
- Review pages for:
- Content accuracy
- Brand compliance
- Accessibility
- SEO readiness
- Responsive rendering
- Broken links
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new components, templates, and platform enhancements.
Team Leadership & Mentoring
- Mentor junior content authors and CMS specialists.
- Conduct onboarding and training sessions for AEM authoring and publishing workflows.
- Review content work and provide constructive feedback and process guidance.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact between marketing, product, design, development, QA, and content teams.
- Translate business requirements into scalable content authoring and publishing plans.
- Facilitate communication and alignment across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
SEO & Accessibility Oversight
- Ensure all published content follows SEO best practices, including:
- Metadata optimization
- URL structures
- Structured data
- Internal linking
- Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards across all digital content.
Performance & Analytics
- Monitor content performance using tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
- Analyze engagement and content effectiveness metrics.
- Recommend content improvements based on analytics insights and user behavior.
Issue Resolution & Support
- Troubleshoot authoring, rendering, workflow, and replication issues in AEM.
- Coordinate with development teams to resolve component or template defects.
- Track and manage issues through JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve authoring efficiency, governance, and publishing workflows.
- Drive process optimization and operational scalability.
- Stay current with Adobe Experience Cloud updates, AEM enhancements, and digital content best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile
6+ years of experience in web content management and digital publishing.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites and Assets.
- 2+ years in a senior, lead, or managerial role overseeing content operations or content teams.
- Proven experience managing enterprise content across multi-site, multi-market, and multilingual environments.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
