Job Description
Job Summary:
The Unit Manager is responsible for leading a team of insurance advisors or agents to achieve sales targets, drive growth, and maintain a high standard of customer service. This role includes recruiting, training, mentoring, and monitoring performance while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Recruitment & Development:
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new insurance agents/advisors.
- Provide continuous training and development programs.
- Coach and mentor the team to improve productivity and skills.
- Sales Management:
- Set sales goals and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance.
- Implement effective sales strategies to achieve individual and team targets.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
- Operational Duties:
- Ensure all agents comply with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Manage reports on sales, lead conversion, and productivity metrics.
- Coordinate with underwriting, claims, and customer service departments.
- Client Relationship & Business Development:
- Support agents in client prospecting, presentations, and closing deals.
- Promote cross-selling and upselling of insurance products.
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients and resolve escalated issues.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Analyze market trends and competition.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Motivate the team to exceed expectations and handle underperformance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales or agency management.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Goal-oriented with a results-driven approach.
