Job summary
The Business Analyst is responsible for a full range of activities which ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of the business unit.
Responsibilities
- Understand what the business does and how it does.
- To collect, understand, and transmit the business or functional support requirements for the project/request/incident, and to translate these into functional specifications and detailed test plans.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify bsuiness requirements related to compliance applications (specifically filtering tools) within the organizations.
- To analyse and document business processes and to involve end users in all the project/request/incident resolution phases.
- Analyze and document current compliance processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement.
- To design the business cases hand by hand with users and required central teams covering the complete cycle of operations and IT processes.
- To document workflows and results of business analysis and obtain sign-off from client on the specifications.
- To document the systems and functional processes making it easy for the newcomers to understand the system.
- To collect, understand, and transmit the business or functions support requirements for the project, and to translate these into functional specifications and detailed test plans.
- Ensure a smooth integration and implementation of new standards petals (systems) following the standard methodologies.
- Assist in the selection and implementation of compliance tools and technologies.
- To support the functionalities of all the banking production modules related to all business activities
- Provide both functional and technical support to users in the region
Expected Contributions
- Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.
- Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.
- Coordinate with the production team the go-live/ installation of solutions on production following all the guidelines and processes
- To support the functional operations of all standard and non-standard application systems according to the business needs of the organization.
- End user training and support
- To plan, execute, monitor, control and manage IT projects
- To establish a planning taking into account all the project aspects (Functional and technical)
- To manage day to day change requests in relation to the project plans to ensure agreed deadlines are met
- To follow up activities and produce regular project / requests status to its management progress against outstanding, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies
- To coordinate tasks of the different projects actors (internally & externally)
- To execute the User Acceptance Tests scenarios and technically test scripts
- To prepare new application, enhancement, decommissioning obsolete application, documentation and User Guides related to the project.
- Adhere to company and project standards and guidelines.
- Adhere to IT security standards and guidelines.
- When being a resource in a project, coordinate with the Project Managers in handling the assigned project tasks.
- Stay updated with relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards affecting compliance tools including filtering tools.
Experience
- Project Management & Application Deployment experience
- Knowledge on a Core Banking Application and all standard banking business processes
- Working experience and knowledge of end-to-end IT project lifecycles
- General knowledge of banking activities and operations in the following areas:
- Payment's systems
- Compliance tools – Mainly filtering tools
- Trade Finance
- Loans/Deposits
- Treasury
- Interest Calculation
- Credit Risk
- Accounting
- Knowledge of analysing, documenting, writing down functional specifications and interacting with end users
- Good Knowledge of Swift and Payments systems
- Good Knowledge of Accounting & core banking systems
- Good Knowledge of Trade finance systems
- Good knowledge of activity planning
- Good knowledge of Unix technology
- Good knowledge of ORACLE Databases, SQL and PL/SQL
- Good level with Office work management tools
- Good command of in Networking and Infrastructure concepts, principles and solutions
- Good command of IT Security concepts, principles, protocols, and solutions.
- Demonstrate evidence of analysing, documenting, writing down functional specs and interacting with end users
- Good written and verbal communication skills & interpersonal skills
- Ability to clearly communicate and pass the knowledge to train end users

- At least 5 years of experience.
