Job Description

  • Oversee the daily operations of the general accounting section, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and other accounting reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Develop and implement accounting procedures and internal controls to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities in coordination with other departments.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices within the accounting function.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in general accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team leadership.
  • Ability to interpret and apply accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in developing and implementing internal controls and accounting procedures.
