The Fire & Safety Technician is responsible for ensuring workplace safety by installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire protection systems and safety equipment. The role involves conducting safety checks, identifying hazards, and supporting compliance with local fire codes, health, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems, sprinklers, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and emergency lighting.

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of fire protection systems as per company and regulatory standards.

• Ensure compliance with local fire codes, NFPA standards, and occupational health & safety requirements.

• Conduct routine fire drills, evacuation procedures, and safety awareness training for staff.

• Identify potential fire hazards and recommend corrective actions.

• Assist in incident investigation and report preparation related to fire or safety issues.

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and equipment status.

• Respond to fire and emergency situations promptly and effectively.

• Support audits by safety authorities and third-party inspectors.
