Job Title: Planning Supervisor

Reports To: Supply chain Manager


Job Summary:


The Planning Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring production and demand plans to ensure efficient operations and optimal inventory levels. The role involves coordinating with various departments such as sales, production, procurement, and logistics to meet customer demands while minimizing waste and production costs. The Planning Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of the dairy production process, maintaining product quality, and achieving company targets.


-Key Responsibilities:


- Demand Planning: Develop accurate demand forecasts based on sales data, market trends, and historical information.

- Production Planning: Create and maintain detailed production schedules that align with demand forecasts, resource availability, and capacity constraints.

- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock, optimizing stock turnover.

- Coordination: Collaborate with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless communication and execution of plans.

- Schedule Monitoring: Track production progress, identify bottlenecks, and adjust plans accordingly to meet delivery deadlines.

- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze production data, generate reports on plan adherence, and recommend improvements.

- Continuous Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in the planning process and implement strategies for improvement.

- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all planning activities adhere to food safety standards and company policies.

- Team Supervision: Supervise and guide junior planning staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.


-Qualifications:


- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

- Proven experience (3+ years) in production planning, supply chain, or operations within the dairy or FMCG industry.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills.

- Proficiency in planning and ERP software .

- Knowledge of dairy production processes and quality standards is a plus.
