Position Overview
The HR Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the HR department including payroll, personnel, onboarding journey, recruitment administration, benefits administration and employee relations process. This role ensures compliance with laws by implementing HR policies and procedures to support the organization’s goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the daily operations of the HR department and answering all the people e-mail requests, including personnel administration, payroll coordination, leaves administration, recruitment status and benefits processing to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and legal compliance.
- Implementing HR policies, procedures, and systems to maintain compliance with labour laws and support consistent organizational practices.
- Managing employee lifecycle documentation (onboarding, transfers, promotions, and offboarding) to ensure a smooth and compliant employee journey.
- Maintaining up-to-date employee records and HR data within HRIS systems to enable data accuracy and informed decision-making.
- Coordinating payroll inputs and benefits administration in collaboration with finance to guarantee timely and error-free payments.
- Supporting HR budget monitoring to ensure cost control and alignment with the company’s financial targets.
- Executing recruitment administration activities such as job postings, screening, and interview coordination in collaboration with the talent acquisition Lead to ensure timely and high-quality hiring outcomes.
- Building and maintaining employee databases and creating new hire accounts in the HR system to ensure accurate data flow and streamline the payroll cycle.
- Implementing the internship programs and training programs to attract and develop emerging talent.
- Ensuring all new employees receive their employment offers and contracts while collecting and achieving employee records to maintain compliance with labour laws and facilitate data retrieval for legal matters.
- Providing guidance and support on employee relations matters to foster a fair, consistent, and supportive work environment.
- Developing employee engagement initiatives (town halls, surveys, and recognition programs) to boost morale and enhance retention.
- Communicating company updates and HR initiatives transparently to encourage employee participation and feedback.
- Establishing HR metrics and reports (turnover, engagement, absenteeism) to measure people trends and inform HR improvements.
- Researching industry trends and regulatory updates to keep HR processes current and compliant.
- Optimizing workflows and automating HR processes where possible to increase efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or professional certification such as CIPD, SHRM, or PHRI is an advantage.
- 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in HR Operations or HR Generalist roles.
- Proven experience managing payroll inputs, employee records, and benefits administration.
- Demonstrated success in implementing HR policies, processes, and systems.
- Exposure to employee relations, engagement initiatives, and HR analytics.
- Regional experience within the GCC / Middle East is preferred.
- Strong understanding of UAE Labour Law and regional HR compliance standards.
- Proficient in HRIS platforms (e.g., Bayzat or similar).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); Arabic is an asset.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality in handling employee information.
