Job Purpose

The Prescriptive Selling role is responsible for promoting Lafarge’s product portfolio and sustainability solutions through impactful presentations and tailored business cases to consultants, government institutions, and key industry stakeholders. The position plays a pivotal role in influencing project specifications for mega projects, infrastructure, oil well cement, and mining developments. By coordinating closely with internal stakeholders—particularly quality and technical teams—the role ensures Lafarge solutions are embedded in early project design stages and positioned as the preferred choice for long-term value creation

Key Responsibilities

1- Health & Safety

  • Adhere to enforce relevant legislation and policies, and ensure that the highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained.


2- Functional.:


Value-Based Selling

  • Support and implement prescriptive/value-based pricing and selling methodologies
  • Quantify and communicate the benefits of Lafarge products, positioning them beyond price


Stakeholder Engagement & Influence

  • Map and influence key stakeholders such as consultants, architects, developers, and contractors.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships to promote Lafarge solutions at early design and decision-making stages
  • Industry Leaders
  • Address industry challenges by representing Lafarge in seminars, lobbying activities, and technical forums.
  • Position the company as an innovative leader in sustainable construction and value creation.


Customer & Tender Engagement

  • Drive early engagement with customers, especially during the tender phase, to promote ECO Planet and other sustainable offerings
  • Ensure Lafarge is positioned as the preferred partner in mega/infrastructure projects.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Ready-Mix (RMX) team to deliver tailored solutions for large-scale projects
  • Challenge plant and operations teams to align with prescriptive selling strategies and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions.

Segment Development

  • Manage the Oil & Mining segment, ensuring fit-for-purpose solutions and alignment with business strategy.
  • Provide segment-specific insights and solutions to strengthen market positioning.


Quality Advisory

  • Serve as a quality advisor across all segments, ensuring Lafarge products and solutions consistently meet customer and project requirements.


Education, Qualifications & Experience



Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. (Civil – Chemical – Petroleum)

Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of value-based/prescriptive selling techniques.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence key industry stakeholders
  • Experience with mega/infrastructure projects and sector-specific solutions (Oil & Mining preferred).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic mindset with strong problem solving and influencing abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and challenge operational practices constructively.
  • 7+ years of experience in business development, consultative/solution selling, or construction materials
