eading financial institution is looking for an experienced and talented Business Continuity Specialist to become a key member of their management team at their Egypt offices.

In this impactful role, the Business Continuity Specialist will have the opportunity to shape and maintain a robust Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework, ensuring operational resilience across headquarters, regional offices and subsidiaries.

The Business Continuity Specialist will be at the heart of crisis preparedness, collaborating with multiple departments to identify risks, conduct impact analyses and facilitate training that empowers staff at all levels.

Key qualifications and experience required for the Business Continuity Specialist:

  • Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in relevant field is mandatory (i.e., Business Continuity Management, Business Administration, Risk Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Information Technology)
  • 6–10 years of experience in Business Continuity Management (BCM), Risk Management or Operational Resilience
  • 4–6 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity within BCM or Disaster Recovery Planning ensures you can guide others effectively.
  • Proven track record conducting Business Impact Analyses (BIA), risk assessments and crisis simulations
  • Strong understanding of IT disaster recovery processes, cybersecurity risk mitigation strategies and compliance standards

Key Duties Of The Business Continuity Specialist

  • Support the Resilience & BCM Manager in implementing effective governance structures for crisis response and recovery.
  • Develop and implement risk controls for business continuity, crisis management, personnel safety, and technology-related threats.
  • Manage budget planning for business continuity initiatives to align with financial objectives.
  • Conduct regular Business Impact Assessments (BIA) and address risks with actionable solutions.
  • Prepare reports on business continuity exercises, documenting findings and recommending improvements.
  • Coordinate readiness testing, including work-from-home drills, emergency notifications, and crisis simulations.
  • Assist in creating annual resilience capability reports for senior leadership with recommendations for improvement.
  • Produce and distribute BCM documentation such as policies, manuals, training materials, and awareness content.
  • Serve as secretary to the Emergency Management Committee (EMC) and Crisis Management Team (CMT), managing agendas, minutes, and communication.

Key Personal Skills

  • Fluency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written)
  • Experience producing clear documentation such as policies, manuals or training materials
  • Ability to collaborate with external security service providers for operational safety
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic recommendations on BCM matters
