On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a dynamic finance team and ensure the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare timely and accurate financial analyses and reports.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, ensuring precision and compliance.
Manage and reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts.
Conduct monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations and compliance checks.
Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting processes.
Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
Record and analyze revenues, expenses, and other financial transactions.
Supervise accounting functions and ensure process consistency across departments.
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.
Prepare tax-related reports and ensure compliance with local regulations.
Collaborate with the Chief Accountant on semi-annual and annual closures.
Contribute to the enhancement of accounting systems, processes, and procedures.
Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
Maintain effective communication with managers regarding financial updates and issues.
Manage vendor accounts and ensure timely settlements.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
4–7 years of professional accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role.
Proven experience with general ledger management and month-end/year-end closing.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (Odoo preferred).
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, and Egyptian Tax Law.
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with financial reporting standards and audit procedures.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
