Reports To:Production Supervisor / Line In-charge

Job Purpose

To operate, monitor, and maintain ice cream production machines, ensuring smooth production, product quality, and adherence to hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation & Production

•Operate and monitor ice cream machines (freezers, mixers, fillers, and packing units)according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

•Adjust machine settings (temperature, speed, mix levels) to meet production requirements.

•Feed raw materials (milk, flavors, mix, etc.) into machines as per production schedule.

•Ensure continuous flow of production with minimal downtime.

Quality & Hygiene Control

•Check product texture, taste, and consistency during production.

•Ensure correct portioning, filling, and packaging of ice cream.

•Follow hygiene and sanitation procedures in handling food products.

•Record batch numbers, production data, and quality checks.

Machine Maintenance & Safety

•Perform basic machine cleaning and preventive maintenance.

•Report technical faults, breakdowns, or irregularities immediately to maintenance staff.

•Ensure safe operation of machinery in compliance with health and safety guidelines.

•Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Teamwork & Reporting

•Coordinate with production team, quality control, and maintenance teams.

•Maintain proper documentation of production ouQualifications

•Minimum: Secondary school education.

•Technical diploma in food processing / mechanical field preferred.

•1–3 years’ experience in food manufacturing or ice cream/dairy industry put and wastage.

•Support in training new operators or helpers when required.
