The Social Media Specialist is responsible for managing and growing the universitys social media presence across various platforms. This includes developing and implementing a social media strategy, creating and scheduling social media content, engaging with followers, and analyzing the effectiveness of social media efforts. The specialist will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in social media marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a social media strategy to promote the university and its programs
Create and schedule social media content, including text, images, and videos
Engage with followers and respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner
Analyze the effectiveness of social media efforts and adjust strategies as needed
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in social media marketing
Collaborate with the marketing team and other departments as needed
Job Requirements
Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience managing social media accounts for a business or organization
Familiarity with social media analytics tools
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to brand guidelines
Experience in higher education marketing is preferred, but not required
