Job Description

• Cost Analysis: 

- Assist in analyzing and monitoring production costs. - Review and reconcile inventory accounts to ensure accuracy.

 - Collaborate with the Cost Accounting Supervisor to identify cost-saving opportunities.


• Financial Reporting: 

- Prepare regular financial reports related to costs and variances. 

- Support the compilation of financial statements for management review. 

- Assist in the analysis of budget variances and provide explanations as needed.


• Data Collection and Entry: 

- Gather and input data related to production, inventory, and cost elements. 

- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of cost-related information in the system.


• Collaboration:

 - Work closely with the Cost Accounting Supervisor and other departments to obtain necessary information.

 - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address cost-related issues.


• Process Improvement:

 - Contribute ideas for process improvements in cost accounting procedures.

 - Participate in projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency of cost-related processes.


• Compliance:

 - Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies. 

- Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits related to cost accounting.


• Documentation:

 - Maintain accurate and organized documentation of cost-related activities. 

- Support the development of standard operating procedures for cost accounting processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • From 1 to 3 years of experience as Cost accountant.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, financial modelling, and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and software (e.g., ERP systems, budgeting tools) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work with large data sets.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to present financial information and insights.
