Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Product Specialist with a specialty in pathology to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales and improving customer satisfaction for our pathology laboratory medical devices. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters within the pathology segment.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers across all assigned channels, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our pathology solutions in alignment with customer needs and objectives.
  • Determine technical solutions in accordance with product specifications and customer requirements.
  • Develop and implement joint business strategies to convert targeted new business opportunities, specifically within the pathology market.
  • Identify and collaborate with key opinion leaders and reference sites to enhance product visibility and credibility.
  • Engage with existing customers to develop new business opportunities and identify areas for improvement to meet sales quotas.
  • Foster strong customer relationships through effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Develop and deliver product training sessions to end users as well as support field associates in understanding product offerings.

 

  • Forecast and track key account metrics, including quarterly sales results and annual forecasts, to inform strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify growth opportunities within the assigned pathology territory and leverage key opinion leaders for business development.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline).
  • Proven experience in sales or account management, preferably in the medical devices or laboratory equipment industry.
  • Strong knowledge of pathology laboratory practices, devices, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to analyze technical specifications and offer tailored solutions to customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
  • Experience conducting training and presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
