The Executive Director of Investment Development (Vision 2030) will play a pivotal role in the advancement and execution of the organization’s long-term strategic initiatives, reflecting the commitment to foster sustainable economic growth and transformative investments aligned with Vision 2030. This executive position demands a visionary leader with a proven track record of at least 15 years in investment and economic development. The successful candidate will spearhead the formulation and implementation of comprehensive investment strategies, engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from government entities to private sector leaders, to catalyze significant investment opportunities. The role requires an adept negotiator skilled in public-private partnerships and an expert in evaluating and transforming investment proposals into actionable, value-driven projects. Through exceptional leadership and organizational acumen, the Executive Director will ensure alignment with the organization's mission, drive accountability, enhance international collaborations, and develop innovative approaches to attract and manage investments that contribute to sustainable development.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in investment development, finance, or economic growth, with a significant portion in a senior executive role.
  • Proven experience in leading investment strategy formulation and execution, demonstrating substantial economic impact.
  • Extensive knowledge of global investment trends, public-private partnerships, and economic growth strategies relevant to Vision 2030.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with demonstrable experience influencing high-level stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex financial models and operational frameworks.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, public policy development, and strategic relationship management at national and international levels.
  • Demonstrated capability in leading cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative work environment, and mentoring senior professionals.
  • A track record of successful project management involving multi-million dollar or billion-dollar investment portfolios.
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and provide strategic insights into policy implications for investment.
  • Proven proficiency in data analysis, market assessments, and risk management strategies related to investment development.
  • An advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desirable.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the overall investment development strategy in alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives and Vision 2030 goals.
  • Liaise with government agencies, private sector stakeholders, and international investors to promote and secure significant investment opportunities.
  • Evaluate and prioritize investment proposals, ensuring they align with the organization’s long-term vision and immediate economic development objectives.
  • Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring the effective communication of investment priorities and fostering collaborative efforts.
  • Provide leadership to cross-functional teams in the execution of strategic initiatives, promoting alignment and accountability.
  • Monitor and report on investment trends, economic indicators, and emerging markets, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
  • Advocate for policy development that supports investors and promotes a favorable investment climate in the region.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, investment forums, and other strategic events, positioning the organization as a leader in investment development.
  • Manage a high-performance team, ensuring staff development and performance management processes align with organizational goals.
  • Regularly review and assess investment performance metrics, implementing strategies for continuous improvement and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present executive reports and strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors and other senior stakeholders.
