About the job
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for construction and facility management processes
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of existing SOPs to ensure alignment with current industry standards, regulations, and best practices
- Collaborate with project managers, department heads, and technical teams to identify process improvement opportunities
- Facilitate workshops and interviews with subject matter experts to gather requirements and validate procedure accuracy
- Ensure all SOPs comply with relevant safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual requirements
- Create process flowcharts, diagrams, and visual aids to enhance SOP clarity and usability
- Establish and maintain a centralized SOP repository with version control and document management protocols
- Develop SOP templates and standardized formats to ensure consistency across the organization
- Coordinate with training teams to develop SOP-based training materials and conduct procedure orientation sessions
- Monitor SOP implementation and gather feedback from end-users to identify areas for improvement
- Track and document SOP changes, maintaining audit trails for compliance and quality assurance purposes
- Lead SOP audits and gap analysis to identify non-conformances and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare SOP metrics and reports for management review
- Mentor junior staff on SOP development methodologies and technical writing best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 3 - 5 years of experience in SOP development, process improvement, or quality management
- Minimum 3 years in a senior or lead capacity within construction or facility management sectors
- Proven expertise in technical writing and documentation standards
- Strong understanding of construction processes, facility management operations, and industry regulations
- Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or similar)
- Proficiency in process mapping software (Visio, Lucidchart, or similar)
- Knowledge of document management systems and version control practices
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations in construction
