ob Purpose: Supports the holistic development of Tomorrow’s Leaders (TL) students by integrating career readiness, mentorship, and alumni engagement into the student experience. The role bridges the transition from student development to professional advancement by providing leadership in career advising, internship placement, and alumni network development. The job holder will track TL alumni to highlight program impact, success of its graduates and inform changes in program interventions’ design and implementation.
Core Responsibilities:
Career Development and Advising:
● Collaborate with the AUC Career Center to design and deliver tailored professional development
programs, workshops, and advising sessions for TL students
● Provide individual and group advising on career readiness, employability skills, and internship
placements Mentorship and Internship Coordination:
● Develop and manage a structured mentorship program connecting students with professionals and TL alumni
● Identify and cultivate internship opportunities in Egypt and the MENA region aligned with students’ academic and civic engagement goals
Alumni Relations and Network Management:
● In coordination with the alumni office, design and implement a comprehensive alumni engagement system and tracking database
● Strengthen links between TL alumni and the broader AUC alumni network
Program and Partnership Development:
● Build and maintain partnerships with private sector entities, NGOs, and government organizations to expand professional and internship opportunities in MENA countries
● Collaborate with AUC’s Office of Alumni Engagement and Career Center to create career pathways for TL graduates
● Event Planning and Outreach: Organize networking events, alumni panels, professional
development forums, and mentorship sessions
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:
● Maintain accurate alumni and student career data, ensuring regular updates and outcome tracking
● Prepare reports on career and alumni engagement activities, contributing to program evaluation
and strategic planning
● Additional Related Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
● Bachelor’s degree in education, social sciences, communications, human resources, or related field
● Master’s is preferred
● Eight years of progressive experience in higher education, student services, or career development
● Proven experience managing career programs, advising students, and coordinating events
● Proven experience in building partnerships with the private sector, preferably in different MENA
countries
Skills:
● Career Development: Strong knowledge of employability skills, internship coordination, and career advising
● Alumni Engagement: Experience building alumni relations and maintaining engagement databases
● Data Management: Competence in managing data systems and preparing reports
● Networking: Ability to establish partnerships with employers and industry professionals
● Communication: Excellent facilitation and presentation skills in English; Arabic proficiency preferred
