Basic Functions
Purchasing Manager in covering all purchasing procedures. The primary issue regarding all purchased items is quality. Secondly, our target is to obtain the requested quality at the best available market price.
Responsibilities & Authorities
Internal:
Provision of requested items at the right time and at the best price.
External:
Handle global contracts for hotels and Jaz Hotels, Resorts, and Cruises suppliers.
Equipment:
Review of the condition, protection, and maintenance of used equipment and vehicles.
Responsibilities
· Assist the Financial controller in purchasing all food and non-food items for operational needs.
· Supervise Purchasing department clerical personnel.
· Deal with vendors and manufacturers.
· Purchase items and materials from the local market.
· Check items for quality, quantity, and price.
· Receive and return rejected items.
· Receive purchasing requisitions from department heads.
· Oversees emergency purchasing with a price limit.
· Receives items from the purchasing track and classifieds them for different receiving areas.
· Is responsible for posting receiving records through the computer system
· Assists in preparing the monthly purchasing report.
· Prepares basic data for the supply’s logbook.
· Knows the market and seeks constant information about changes (prices, product availability, etc.).
· Knows all importing, purchasing, and receiving procedures.
· Must purchase the best quality goods available.
Works closely with the storekeeper and ensures proper storage space for delivered goods and goods disposal.
· Is not allowed to accept any commissions, personal advantages, or gifts offered by any supplier.
· Ensures that all employees under his/her supervision maintain appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, and appearance according to company standards.
Procure parts and materials at negotiated rate
Develop a supply and production plan to ensure timely delivery to our customers
Create and monitor the performance of the purchasing strategy
Oversee and support our purchasing staff

Qualifications
Strong negotiation skills
3 - 10 years’ purchasing experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
