Strategy & Development:

1-Assists in preparing the Liquidity Funding Plan (LFP), Price risk limits, and Transfer Pricing policies ensuring its compliance to the central bank circulars, ADIB internal policies that are impacting Treasury business, CBE regulations and Sharia approvals. Reports it to the Treasury & Financial Markets Head for review and approval and monitors their on-going implementation and compliance. Incorporates all changes upon their occurrence, and ensures clear communication of those changes to the relevant stakeholders.

2-Assists in preparing the ALM operating budget, and monitors operating expenses against the approved budgets.

3-Assists in preparing the standards and performance measures (KPIs) for the Trading division and ensures its alignment with the Sector and bank’s strategic direction. Approves it from the Treasury & Financial Markets Head. Cascades it down to his direct reports and monitors its implementation.

Functional:

4-Ensures that all treasury deals are input on SUNGARD (MM & Fixed Income modules).

5-Manage cash flows & balances or Nostro account as well as reverse requirement, securities flows & portfolio (AFS & HTM portfolio). Monitors the ALM desk revenue numbers and performance. Presents outcomes periodically.

6-Ensures that the market database are updated.

7-Assists in having an effective RCSA testing & BCP requirements

8-Assist in preparation of ALCO minutes. Assists in the peroration of management reviews for Treasury room performance. Reports progress and risks to the sector Head as they occur.

9-Ensures effective back-up system for all the ALM activities and presents regular reporting to the Sector Head.

People Management:

10-Conducts performance appraisals sessions of his direct report in due time. Reviews and approves the performance appraisals conducted by his first liners to their subordinates, ensuring timely, efficient and objective Performance Management process.

11- Monitors the implementation of the on-the-job training and approved training plan to ensure staff development and team competence levels. Motivates staff to grow their abilities and aspirations to achieve their objectives and deliver quality results.

And any other assigned tasks.

Academic and professional qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration or other relevant degree from a recognized university.
Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or any related field from a recognized university is an asset.
Experience and other requirements

Basic Qualifications:
·        Knowledge of Banking Operation, Credit operation.

Years of experience:
·        6-9 years in banking or relevant field.

Additional Knowledge
 Islamic banking and systems implementations
