Role Description: PHP Developer

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Oman, dedicated to an Omantel project. We are seeking a skilled PHP developer to join our technical team and work directly on enterprise-level applications and integrations.

The role involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing PHP-based systems, working closely with project managers, functional consultants, and client stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery aligned with Omantel’s technical and security standard

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain PHP-based applications and backend services
• Customize and enhance existing systems based on project requirements
• Develop APIs and integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms
• Write clean, secure, and well-documented code following best practices

• Perform system testing, debugging, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Support deployment, troubleshooting, and post-go-live activities
• Prepare technical documentation and handover materials
• Work on-site with the client team and comply with project governance and security policies

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a PHP Developer
• Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL/PostgreSQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with PHP frameworks (Laravel preferred)
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and system integrations
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Ability to work independently and within a structured enterprise project environment

Nice to Have

• Experience working on telecom or large enterprise projects
• Exposure to ERP systems (Odoo or similar platforms)
• Knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu environments
• Experience with security standards and enterprise-grade systems
• Prior experience working on-site with government or semi-government entities
