Job Summary:The Cath Lab Storekeeper is responsible for the efficient management of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory’s specialized medical inventory. This includes overseeing high-value clinical supplies (stents, catheters, balloons), ensuring stock availability for emergency cases, monitoring expiration dates, and maintaining strict storage standards to ensure patient safety and operational continuity. Key Responsibilities:• Inventory Control & Management:• Oversee the end-to-end supply chain within the Cath Lab, from ordering and receiving to issuance.• Maintain optimal stock levels using Reorder Point (ROP) systems to prevent shortages during critical procedures.• Manage Consignment Stock (items owned by vendors but stored in-house) and coordinate with suppliers for replenishment.• Quality Assurance & Compliance:• Strictly monitor Expiry Dates and implement the FEFO (First Expired, First Out) methodology.• Ensure all medical supplies are stored according to manufacturer specifications (temperature, humidity, and sterility).• Perform regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with the digital inventory system.• Technical Documentation:• Accurately input data into the Hospital Information System (HIS) or ERP software.• Track the utilization of high-cost items per patient for accurate billing and insurance purposes.• Generate consumption reports and wastage analysis for the Lab Manager.• Clinical Coordination:• Collaborate with Cardiologists and Scrub Nurses to prepare specific kits for scheduled complex cases (e.g., TAVI, PCI).• Provide immediate support during emergency cases by quickly locating and issuing required sterile items.
Requirement
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related Medical Technical field.
3+ years of experience in Medical Warehousing or Hospital Stores (Cath Lab experience highly preferred).
Proficiency in MS Excel and Inventory Management Software
